About Ayurveda

Ayurveda, a Sanskrit word meaning the "study of prolonging life," is the traditional healing method of India, and is almost as old as Indian civilization itself. In keeping with ayurveda's holistic approach to the human body and the conditions under which human beings live, the therapeutic systems that have evolved through millennia of ayurvedic teachings aim not only to cure disease itself, but also to ensure that those who receive its treatments enjoy a healthy, well-balanced life, both physically and mentally.

In earlier centuries, when allopathic medicines was unavailable in India, and in any case was at a primitive stage of development even in the West, ayurveda included sophisticated surgical procedures as well as treatment of traumatic injuries. In recent times, ayurveda has gained universal acceptance for its curative powers and the ability to maintain optimum physical mental and spiritual health for a full life span.Ayurveda is based on 'Panchabhuta' and Thridosha' theories. This unique living system considers man as a balanced composition of body, mind and soul. According to Ayurveda, good health is the harmonious co-existence of these three elements. Any disharmony among them causes diseases.

Ayurvedic practitioners emphasize the efficacy of their therapies and the absence of distressing side effects.Health in their view is synonymous with the harmony of body, mind and spirit, and is based on natural principles that are believed to inform and animate every aspect of human life.Ayurveda's diagnostic and curative tools are derived from a long legacy of experience and insights bequeathed to posterity by legendary masters.

Ayurvedic Medicine Preparation Process

Ayurveda is considered an alternative form of medicine without side effects. Ayurvedic medicine manufacturing processes consist of extraction, fractionation, purification, concentration, mixing and blending, tablet making, coating, bottle filling, packaging and wrapping and many more depending on the nature of products.

Raw material collection

Basic raw materials used in the formulation of ayurvedic machines are mainly herbs. These herbs are collected from forests or herb gardens. We source from reliable vendors and we ensure the herbs used in the manufacture of drugs are authentic, of prescribed quality and are free from contamination. The Ayurvedic drugs are derived from various parts of the plant like root, steam. leaf, flower, fruit extract or plant as a whole

Chopping Section

Chopping machine / Shredder is extensively used in Ayurveda products manufacturing for chopping / shredding hard wooden type herbs in dry state. Output from Chopping machine can be directly taken for medicine preparation or for fine powdering in pulverizer machines.

Crushing

Disintegrator is used to crush / pound hard or soft material in the production of Ayurveda medicines. The pounded material is sieved and further crushed for further fine output.

Processing section

Thermic fluid heating is used for the preparation of decoction and syrup. Thermic fluid heater is used for boiling Ayurvedic concoctions in big vessels. Safety features like pressure gauge, temperature gauge, and safety valve are incorporated into the heating vessel.

Fermentation

Asavas and Aristhas are made by soaking the herbs either in powder form or in the form of decoction (Kashaya) in a solution of sugar or jaggery, as the case may be, for a specific period of time. It undergoes a process of fermentation and facilitates the extraction of the active ingredients contained in the herbs.

Quality Control

We adhere to strict quality control measures in the manufacturing of Ayurvedic products. Each ongoing manufacturing process is monitored at each stage ranging from sourcing of raw material till the dispatch. Quality control tests are conducted at each stage of the process. Hygienic raw material acquired from authentic and reliable vendors is used.

Bottling & Fitting

The packing of Ayurvedic products into bottles and tablet forms is also done using packaging machines of different fill capacities. The whole packaging process is done hygienically.

Finished goods

The finished Ayurveda products are attractively packaged and sent to diverse distribution outlets.

  • Procurement

It is undoubtedly the most important process involved in Ayurvedic preparations. Herbs have different potencies depending on various factors, especially the environment and the seasons. It is indeed a highly sensitive and complicated exercise that demands expertise in the relevant field."Viswakeerthy" has a panel of experts who dedicate themselves in this process. We were able to surge ahead of others due to our expertise and focused efforts.

  • Storage

Improper storage of herbs adversely affects their potency. With proper know-how and utmost care we preserve the herbs using the most effective methods-proven scientifically.

  • Processing

This is yet another important aspect of manufacturing Ayurvedic medicines. Even the highly potent herbs become ineffective if not prepared in a proper manner. It is noticed that many steps in the manufacturing process actually enhance the potency of the preparation. Hence we make it a point to always follow the guidelines strictly, while manufacturing each product. We firmly believe that the instructions in the original Ayurvedic texts regarding the processing of herbs are as scientific and meaningful as those relating to diagnosis, treatment, diet and remedies. It would be illogical to follow instructions relating only to the constitution (Vata, Pitta and Kapha), and ignore the manufacturing guidelines. Our belief and trust in the traditional methods had enabled us to excel in the field.
